But also it seems hard to believe that women would achieve solo orgasms so easily, almost as easily as men, when we take into account Steve P. : that they have to make much more conscious effort to get aroused and to focus on their fantasies. Given men are full of sex drive and easily aroused every day by visual stimuli, it is hard to believe that it would take them the same amount of time to reach orgasm when they masturbate as is the case for women. Perhaps the crucial element of being responsive is the ability to achieve arousal. Once that obstacle (clearly not for young men) is overcome, a person can orgasm within similar timeframes as more responsive individuals who orgasm more frequently.
