It’s about understanding the reproductive roles. Men’s reproductive role focuses on what happens BEFORE conception. Women’s focuses on what happens AFTER conception. Female arousal is not required for reproduction. JANE (cont): I have concluded that very few couples are having sex after the age of 50. Most women give up by then. Most men are too embarrassed to discuss this dead bedroom phenomenon because they fear it is their own inadequacy. JANE (cont): Just as women feel that they are inadequate for not wanting sex as men do. This is the harm that is done by erotic fiction and sexual ignorance.
