jane.jpgThe aim of this web-site is to pass on some of the experiences of couples who have already succeeded in combining full-time work and family. We would welcome your feedback on the ideas presented on Nosper.com so that we can make these pages more useful over time.

Nosper.com is interested in promoting approaches to family life that allow us to raise children while remaining sane. One single mother I met always took Fridays off work. By allowing herself the luxury of one day to herself to spend with friends or doing some shopping without her small son in tow she managed to bring some quality of life to an otherwise difficult challenge.

I am interested in hearing from women of all backgrounds and with a variety of different lifestyles, including women who work as mothers and housewives as well as those who work in employment. Please e-mail me (using my pen name) sam@nosper.com with your personal stories and with any suggestions for improving this site.

Sharing life experiences

The idea for Nosper.com came from the experiences of myself and my partner. We have managed our home and childcare jointly but with the help of others during the working week. This allows us to lead full lives of our own during the week and still enjoy our family time together at weekends.

Despite the initial fears of those around us, it is plain to see that our children are growing up happy and well-cared for. Beneficial effects of my independence of the home include additional personal confidence in our children and a greater involvement by their father.

We are not claiming to have found a flawless approach to family life or one that would suit everyone. We would also like to provide moral support to those attempting a similar challenge in a society that is still geared towards families with a parent focused mainly on life at home.
